Who is PPG Industries, Inc.?
PPG Industries, Inc. was started more than a hundred years ago
as teh Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company - a name which was changed
in 1968 to reflect an increasing diversification. PPG is a major
supplier of automotive coatings, industrial coatings, glass, fiber
glass and chemicals.
The PPG refinish unit started back in 1902 when
two brothers, Pete and Fred Ditzler, began operations of their
own paint plant which they designed to service the newly developed
automotive industry. Today's PPG Finishes are the grand children

and every drop of paint and finish.

PPG will guarantee in writing the durability of
any paint work performed to PPG certification standards for as
long as the consumer owns the car. The guarantee covers the popular
Delton, Deltron 2000, Concept, and NCT line of products against:
- Peeling or delamination of the topcoat and/or
other layers of paint.
- Cracking or checking
- Loss of gloss caused by cracking, checking,
and hazing
- Any paint failure caused by defective PPG automotive
refinish products.
PPG's Paint Performance Guarantee will cover the
areas of the vehicle which are refinished beginning the day the
vehicle is delivered from the PPG Certified Collision Repair Center
back to you, the vehicle owner.
